Christopher L. Davis “Toby”

Christopher L. Davis is the immediate past president of the Money Management Institute, the national association representing the managed solutions industry and the many Wall Street firms that deliver money management services to individual and institutional investors. Mr. Davis managed the operations of the rapidly growing association and represented the industry on a wide range of legislative, regulatory and investment issues. Before joining MMI, Mr. Davis was with the Washington, DC law firm of Surrey & Morse (now Jones Day). Earlier, Mr. Davis held several positions in the White House during the administration of President Jimmy Carter, including Special Assistant to the President for Congressional Liaison. Mr. Davis, 73, is a 1971 honors graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and a 1975 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Mr. Davis was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1975 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1981.

Known among shooters as “Toby”, he is the immediate past chairman and founder of the National Invitational 28 gauge Sporting Clays Championships , the oldest continuing invitational sporting clays tournament. He is a member of the Congressional Country Club (Bethesda, MD), the Metropolitan Club of Washington, DC and Prospect Hall Shooting Club in West Virginia.
